One Stop Franchisees celebrate cracking Easter deals!

Franchisees at One Stop are already celebrating a cracking Easter, thanks to the convenience store’s market leading promotions, which started a number of weeks ago.
“I’ve never sold so many eggs in the weeks running up to Easter,” explained a buoyant Sunder Sandher from One Stop Leamington Spa. The Easter promotions we have means we’re able to compete with the big supermarkets, so we get our share. Customers love the deals and there are no other independent retailers out there doings deals like we have. We have deals for the whole build up period, as well as ‘one week only’ deals, so people are coming in specifically to take advantage of what’s on offer and they’re buying a lot.
“Even with weeks to go, products have been flying out, leading to a big sales increase as a result and there are good margins too. I’ve been in retail for 36 years and with One Stop for five years now and I’ve never had this level of promotional activity. Before I’d get eggs and they’d sit around right up to Easter week. Now I have a big display and it all just sells straight away.”
Current promotions running instore include two large Easter eggs for just £6, with other large stores selling them at two for £8. And if customers are looking for something a little exclusive then One Stop is one of only two UK stores selling the Kit Kat Ruby Egg, the Terrys Chocolate Orange Egg, the Aero Bubbles Peppermint Egg, the Orange Smarties Incredible Egg (£10) and the Maltesers Buttons extra-large Egg (2 for £10). So, there is superb choice for customers as well as excellent value for money.
Alongside the promotions – which One Stop is fast making a name for itself with – franchisees are also provided with full marketing support materials and an online interactive game to help drive customers into store, as Sandher continues:
“One Stop provides Easter bunting and POS (point of sale) which goes up all round the store. This really helps to add a bit of theatre and excitement and I honestly think it’s the best point of sale on the market. We regularly get positive comments from our customers about it. Customers are also coming into store off the back of the online Easter promo, ‘Rule the Roost’ where they can win thousands of prizes, including an iPad. It’s great to see One Stop running initiatives like this online, which is driven through social media. I have many followers on my Social Media pages and they love to hear about these things and it gets them into store. “
