An increasing number of shop owners are choosing to move to the One Stop model, including those with more than one premises. Franchisee Vip Measuria operates two stores in Derby and said: “Before making the move over to One Stop, I spoke with other franchisees with established One Stop stores and the positive signs I saw ticked all the boxes for me. Through my own research I could see that the stores were working successfully for others. The simplicity of the model made it an easy choice to move both of my stores to One Stop.”

Vip has found that he has more time to manage his business now: “The systems and processes in place with the One Stop model mean my staff can now be actively involved in stock taking, pricing and checking labels, whereas before I would have to do all of those checks myself. I am now free to focus on other areas of the business, including the range we stock and the direction of the business. I feel like I am managing my stores effectively now, whereas before I was chasing my own tail.”

One Stop has made the process of moving over to the model as simple as possible and works with multi-store operators who are looking to transfer one or all of their existing stores. One Stop offers support throughout the whole transition phase, including the fully project managed refit, which delivers the look and feel of a One Stop store and access to its low-cost operating and distribution model.

Danny and Craig Wilson operate seven One Stop stores across the regions of Bridlington, Scarborough and Hull and moved from another convenience store chain. Wilson said: “We chose to move over to One Stop as their offer and business model suited us well. We wanted to move our business forward and they enabled us to do that by offering solutions and an efficiently run system that maximises our turnover.”

He added: “Thanks to One Stop we have been able to streamline systems across our seven stores and this makes running the stores day-to-day easier for us. Sales are higher than they’ve ever been, and we are looking to expand our storerooms now to accommodate the daily deliveries we are receiving.”

One Stop’s Head of Franchise John Miller concluded: “The One Stop model has been designed to be easily replicated and enable sustained growth and progress for franchisees, whether they are opening their first store or coming to us with multiple stores already established. We are always looking for more franchisees to join One Stop and enjoy the success of the model.”
