One Stop to Pilot Franchise Model in UK Convenience Market

3 April 2013

One Stop Stores Limited is to trial a new franchise model with local independent retailers.

The concept will mean independent retailers continue to run their own businesses whilst benefiting from One Stop’s successful brand, convenience expertise, support and investment, to help grow their businesses.

Through the partnership, franchisees will also gain access to One Stop’s low cost operating and distribution model.

For customers, this means they will benefit from competitive prices and a wide choice of good quality everyday essentials.

One Stop’s CEO Tony Reed, said:
“One Stop is a successful brand with over 20 years’ experience in the convenience market. Our customers regularly tell us that they love our great prices, promotions, range and service; and these endorsements are reflected in our consistent growth.

“Independents offer years of local relationships and commitment to their customers. We want to preserve this and in turn offer our expertise in distribution and store proposition.

“We and our customers want to see neighbourhood convenience shops thrive. Our franchising concept is about helping good independent family businesses make an even greater success of their stores.

“One Stop will talk to retailers about the new franchise concept in the coming weeks.”
