One Stop trials innovative IT solution with franchisees

15 July 2014

One Stop is trialling its unique HHT markdown printer with two of its franchise stores, as it continues to provide independents with innovative, market-leading solutions.

The printer, used in conjunction with the store’s HHT (Hand-Held Terminal), allows retailers to print off reduced labels in a professional and consistent way, based on the company’s markdown policy. Franchisees simply scan products with their HHT and, depending on the shelf life and stock quantity, it suggests the appropriate markdown for the product – a 25%, 50% or 75% reduction. The mobile printer then prints a clearance label, complete with barcode, which automatically scans at the till.

One Stop’s Head of IS, John Sargeant, stated:
“Our franchisees are benefiting hugely from the retail expertise we have at One Stop and this latest trial is yet another time-saving solution available to them. Their store looks more professional as a result and the retailer has the confidence that their labels are consistent and accurate.”

Shelley Goel at One Stop in Acocks Green and Dee Sedani at One Stop in Matlock are the two franchisees taking part in the trial, with Dee commenting:
“The team love the device, they’ve never had anything like this before and it’s so easy to use! It’s fantastic, gives a clear message to the customer about our reductions and looks really professional. It’s also proving to be a great help in keeping our stock file accurate and up to date, as well as monitoring the financial side of things.”

Following feedback from the trial, franchisees will be able to purchase the HHT markdown printer via One Stop’s ‘Franchisee Services’ package – a range of competitively-priced options aimed at supporting or enhancing their business.
